Who We Are

The Chabad Lubavitch - Jewish Center of Merrimack Valley, was founded with an over-arching vision. Although Jews may embrace many levels of observance in their personal lives, there should be a place for all Jews - no labels, no affiliations - to develop a sense of community, to enhance the the experience of being Jewish, to learn and to have fun.

There's a palpable warmth at our synagogue services that melts away any embarrassment for those unfamiliar with, or new to, communal prayer. Everyone feels at home. Come feel for yourself the family atmosphere that makes our services such a delightful experience.

Chabad Hebrew School

Your children need to discover their magnificent Jewish heritage. Chabad's Hebrew school provides absorbing classes for children of all ages, where they can find meaning to becoming the newest link in our proud chain of Jewish experience.

Children are like little saplings. We have to nurture them, brace them, guide them in the right direction sot hat they might grow up to be the productive, successful adults we wish them to be. At our preschool we strive to integrate Judaic and general knowledge, so as to produce a holistic program.

By making the very stuff of tradition themselves, children experience Judaism as it would have been for their ancestors. Our Shofar-making and Matzah-baking programs, our Chanukah olive oil and candle making factory, our Tallit fashioning and Torah-Tefillin-Mezuzah workshops all serve to bring 3300 years of Jewish tradition ALIVE.

In keeping with our community-minded attitude, these programs are not exclusively designed for the children at our Hebrew School. We take them on the road, visiting area  Nursing Homes, and live-in institutions

Classes, Classes, Classes

Knowledge is the key to appreciating our religion, rituals, and traditions. The Center presents popular lectures on Kabalah - Jewish Mysticism and Meditation, Hebrew reading, Talmud, Jewish Law, and Jewish History. Noted guest lecturers from around the world are often invited to provide unique insights and perspectives. We offer courses on any Jewish topic of interest to the community. Everyone is welcome to participate in an exciting voyage - to discover our rich heritage.

All are Welcome!

We believe that Jews are Jews are Jews, regardless of affiliation or personal level of observance. We don't charge for synagogue attendance or pastoral services. Voluntary donations are appreciated but not required (though Friends of Chabad does exist and entitles the friends to certain privileges).

We have no checklist for knowledge, observance, beliefs or lifestyles of the people who attend our programs. Everyone is welcome. Although there is no religious litmus test applied to those who attend, the Rabbis and Synagogue adhere to traditional Jewish laws and values.

Jewish faith rests on a firm bedrock of logic and intellect. Our tradition encourages us to inquire, to delve, to understand. With proper study and comprehension, we can transform the proverbial leap of faith into a stronger step of faith; we can turn blind faith into a seeing faith. We encourage this attitude at our Chabad Lubavitch - Jewish  Center.
