Chabad of Merrimack Valley Rabbi Asher Bronstein, together with his wife Faigy, and their eight children, has been serving the local Jews in the Merrimack Valley since 1992.
	Rabbi Asher Bronstein, originally from Brooklyn, New York, received his rabbinical degree from Lubavitch World Headquarters. At the age of 19 he traveled to Melbourne, Australia to serve the Jewish community. He conducted Torah classes and offered Shabbat and Holiday programs. Rabbi Bronstein now serves as the Rabbi of Chabad of Merrimack Valley, making himself available to fulfill the spiritual needs of the Merrimack Valley Jewish community. 	Mrs. Faigy Bronstein is originally from Boston, MA. She received her Teachers certificate from Beth Rivkah of Brooklyn and has been teaching children of all ages for the past 25 years. Anshei Shalom Chabad of Haverhill, MA Rabbi Zalman Borenstein, together with his wife Mushkie and their baby Mendel, recently moved to North Andover to establish the first and only Jewish identity of North Andover- Chabad of North Andover. Chabad of North Andover is a branch of Chabad of Merrimack Valley, specifically serving the Jews of North Andover, Middleton, and Boxford.
	Rabbi Zalman Borenstein, together with his wife Mushkie, moved to North Andover to establish the first and only Jewish identity of North Andover — Chabad of North Andover. Chabad of North Andover is a branch of Chabad of Merrimack Valley, specifically serving the Jews of North Andover, Middleton, and Boxford. Thank G‑d, the Borensteins have since been blessed with seven children. Rabbi Borenstein, originally from Brooklyn, New York, received his rabbinical degree at the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown, and was ordained by former Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu. He went on to receive his advanced rabbinical degree from Rabbi Dovid Schochat, head of the Beth Din in Toronto, Ontario. Between the ages of 21 and 24, Rabbi Borenstein traveled to Jewish communities in Argentina, Russia, Peru, and Ghana, offering Shabbat and Holiday programs, Jewish studies, and Kosher food to Jews living far from established communities. Seven years ago, Rabbi Borenstein took over Anshe Sholom Chabad, a shul in Haverhill, where he served the local Jewish community before turning his focus to North Andover. 	Mrs. Mushkie Borenstein, daughter of Rabbi and Mrs. Bronstein, studied in Seminary Chaya Mushka, in Safed, Israel for a year. She has been teaching at various preschools throughout the past few years. She now works alongside her husband, Rabbi Borenstein, directing the Kiddie Hebrew School of Chabad of Merrimack Valley, as well as other Chabad programs. Chabad of Nashoba Valley, MA Rabbi Zalman Gurkov, together with his wife Malkie and their family, moved to Nashoba Valley to establish the first and only Jewish presence in Westford — Chabad of Nashoba Valley. Founded in 2005, Chabad of Nashoba Valley serves the Jewish community of Westford and the surrounding towns.
	Rabbi Zalman Gurkov, (and family) arrived here from his previous post as Rabbi in Newton, MA, to establish Chabad of Nashoba Valley in Westford, MA. Through his outreach activities he created a renaissance of Jewish awareness in the area. His casual and social character makes him a very approachable individual with a calming & comforting effect. "I am not a fountain, merely a funnel or a conduit," he likes to say. Similarly, he prefers to be known on a first name basis - Rabbi Zalman. Being a Chabad representative - Shliach of the Lubavitcher Rebbe - is his passion. "The essential goal is to reach out to touch the heart of another human being, to help foster Jewish identity & pride for another Jew, to make this world a better place, and to help achieve a universal redemption via the hastening of Mashiach's arrival - these are the qualities that were embedded in me by the Rebbe, the greatest Jewish leader of our generation," he says. 	Mrs. Malkie Gurkow completed her education in Brooklyn NY and Tzefat Israel. She is resourceful, energetic, and a natural reservoir of educational ideas and working methods for children. She was born to be a teacher, so she teaches. She also serves as an educational consultant for various schools in the US and Canada, and as personal coach for countless teachers in the field. She is also author of the educational series "Building a Better Me", published by Torah U'mseorah Publications, and used by Hebrew Schools throughout the world. Malkie is the backbone behind many of the programs & events at Chabad of Nashoba Valley. A motivator, never short of ideas, charismatic to the core, her excitement is contagious. Her skills as a chef is nothing short of legendary amongst Chabad House regulars. Malkie single handedly runs: Chabad's Women's Circle; Library Story Time; Mommy & Me; Bat Mitzvah Program; and the ever popular Camp Gan Israel She lives with her husband, Zalman Gurkov, in Westford, where they have made their home for the past 18 years.
