Have you ever experienced the feeling that you are carrying something inside of you that feels vague, unclear, or uncertain but you cannot quite understand what that “something” is? Or perhaps you are aware of not feeling completely well emotionally; that something just doesn’t feel right.

Our bodies hold on to much of our life experiences that are not in our conscious awareness. Some of these experiences may be pleasant while others may be distinctly unpleasant.

Focusing is an approach that allows us to draw attention inside and take notice of what our body is carrying that may reflect our inner happiness or our emotional distress. Focusing is a gentle and nonjudgmental way of listening to your body’s inner wisdom that typically results in gaining insight and relief from emotional pain that is held inside.

In this workshop:

  • You will learn a technique for moving aside “issues” that your body is holding onto so that a more relaxed and peaceful feeling inside can be experienced.
  • You will learn how to access your body’s wisdom in order to understand how you can have more of that peaceful relaxed feeling inside.
  • You will develop listening skills that enable you to provide others with a powerful experience of feeling heard and understood.
  • No personal issues will be worked on due to the group nature of this experience.

Participants can expect to experience a safe space to connect with their bodies and gain an understanding of how the body holds on to our life experiences.
